About Bomake Gone Rural Workshop
Located in Malkerns, Swaziland, the Bomake Gone Rural Workshop is a community development organisation. It was founded to respond to the identified needs of 52 communities in which 750 women artisans live. By providing women with self-employed, home-based work, the organisation empowers them with a sustainable income, while allowing them to fulfil their traditional duties and provide care to dependents. The organisation supplies woven products to hundreds of retailers around the globe, which has quadrupled the artisan's income in the last few years.
