Amarasti produces a vast range of hand beaded and embroidered handbags, purses, cushion covers and other home ware items. We take pride in using locally sourced materials
Shweshwe Traditional cloth. Printed and dyed on 100% cotton fabric widely used for traditional South African clothing. Originally dyed indigo, the fabric is manufactured in a variety of color's and printing designs characterized by intricate geometric patterns.
African Wax Print: Fabrics are made from 100% cotton and are printed using a wax-resist method of printing onto cotton that is similar to batik. Printed onto these fabrics are intricate motifs that are repeated across the length of the fabric.
All our designs are unique, with hand embroidery and beads. The factory visit outlines the construction process of our products. Interaction with and photos of the seamstresses is encouraged whilst the piece meal process is explained. Swazi tribe is renown for their mastery in embroidery and beading. Using bright primary colors that reflect their happy personalities and joyful spirit.
