Emzini Township Tour Knysna

Visitors can experience a very personal, safe and fun tour of the Knysna Township with Emzini Tours. The company is owned by hosts and guides Ella Mapurisa and Penelope Mainwaring, and each tour gives back a portion to the Emzini Safe House for abused and neglected children. Over a period of three hours, guests will be picked up from Knysna and transported to the township to see the best view of the famous Knysna Heads and meet local shop owners in shipping containers, such as a hairdresser, grocer and a cobbler who fixes and makes shoes. There will also be an opportunity to visit the township's library, as well as the children at the pre-school. The next stop is at the safe house for refreshments. While having a cup of tea, guests will learn some Xhosa phrases, hear the famous 'Click' song, and also get to have a go on the African drums.
