Mountain Biking at Unembeza

Rent a mountain bike and explore the bush one either a 25 or a 12 kilometre mountain bike track! Few things beat a morning or late afternoon ride in the reserve’s wilderness area with the feel of the wind in your face and the seasonal smells of the bushveld all around you. There is an almost cinematic quality to the experience as your wheels whirl over the ground, and a degree of suspense; you can encounter any animal, at any time. Look out for spoor as you cycle, especially in the morning when it tells the story of the night’s activities; a leopard on the prowl, the scuffles of a scrub hare and tell-tale marks of an aardvark on the move.

The track is well maintained and suitable for novice and more experienced rider. You can ride with or without a guide and get off your bike at any time to explore your surroundings.
