About Vergenoegd Löw Daily Duck Commute
Each day at 9:00 and 12:00, a charming procession of Indian Runner Ducks waddles past the historic Homestead - a beloved ritual and vital part of our regenerative farming.
These hardworking ducks head into the vineyards to feast on snails and insects, offering natural pest control that replaces harmful chemicals. You’ll often spot them en route to work or enjoying a midday swim before heading home.
Join us for breakfast or lunch at Geuwels, dine at Clara’s Barn, or enjoy a wine tasting to catch them in action.
To protect their peaceful routine, we kindly ask that no pets be brought onto the estate.
The ducks are part of a wider sustainability commitment — from Dexter cattle grazing between vines to solar power and minimal mechanical impact across the farm.
You may come for the food or wine, but you'll leave charmed by the estate’s most dedicated team members.
