About Newlands Stadium
Newlands Stadium is situated in Cape Town, Western Cape, South Africa, and is home to Western Province and the Stormers. The stadium dates back to 1888, when the Western Province Rugby and Football Union bought the ground. Later, concrete stands and extensions were added to the stadium, as well as lifts, the Presidential rooms and a new grandstand. The stadium also hosted several games for the 1995 Rugby World Cup.
