Constantia Nek

Constantia Nek, a low pass at 212 metres above sea level, connects Constantia and Hout Bay in Cape Town. This vital thoroughfare, part of the Table Mountain range, intersects Rhodes Drive, Constantia Road, and Hout Bay Main Road at its summit. Renowned for its panoramic views, Constantia Nek is a gateway to numerous hiking trails. The paths lead to Vlakkenberg, Constantiaberg, and the reservoirs on the "back table" of Table Mountain, with trails also extending to Cecilia Park and Kirstenbosch. The Constantia Nek Table Mountain Hike offers a gentler ascent compared to other routes. The Constantia Nek Restaurant, the oldest in Cape Town, offers a historic dining experience. The area is rich in unique fynbos vegetation, including Peninsula Granite Fynbos and Peninsula Sandstone Fynbos.
