Your guide will collect you at 09h00/13h00 at your accommodation and take you out into the oldest of deserts. On your way out of

town your guide will give you valued information on early colonial history. Along the course of the Swakop river bed you will pass

several crop and leisure orientated farms. After a few kilometers the road ends and the tour enters the rugged Moon landscape. In this

desolate area your guide will lead you right to the legendary Welwitschia mirabilis. Perfectly adapted plants like the Flowering Stones

and a variety of Lichens are growing here under harsh conditions. Interesting rock features tell the eventful geological history of the

canyons. With some luck you may see ostrich, klipspringer, springbuck, jackal and a few of the endemic bird species. Drinks will be

available to refresh you all along. On the return route one travels down the Swakop River canyon, passing the old police and customs

post at Goanikontes. A breathtaking view of the entire Moon landscape awaits you now. On the way back to Swakopmund a detour to
