African Bush Bird Skeleton Coast/Damaraland Excursion

The Skeleton Coast/Damaraland Excursion is a day-trip offered by African Bush Bird Tours.The flight departs from Swakopmund airfield and passes over the Brandberg and Damaraland to Hobatere Lodge where the plane will land and guests will be taken on a guided game drive after which they will return to the lodge for a light lunch.

After lunch, the flight will continue at a low altitude past Damaraland Table Top Mountains and Palmwag, from where it will fly along the Uniab Riverbed and guests will have the opportunity to see desert elephants, rhinos, giraffes, mountain zebras and other game. The plane will also fly along the treacherous Skeleton Coast and then past Torra Bay, Palgrave point, and Toscanini to Cape Cross seal reserve. From here, the flight will continue along the coast from Cape Cross, passing Henties Bay and the salt works north of Swakopmund on the way back to Swakopmund.
