African Bush Bird Skeleton Coast Ugab River

The Skeleton Coast Ugab River Tour is a three-and-a-quarter hour flight in a light aircraft offered by African Bush Bird Tours. The aircraft flies at a low altitude along the Swakop riverbed via the “Moonlandscape” crossing the Oasis Goanikontes and also passes over the Rössing Uranium mine along the Khan River, continuing over the Spitzkoppe, the Brandberg, Twyfelfontein, and the Damaraland Table Top Mountains to Palmwag.

During the flight, guests will have the opportunity to see desert elephants, rhinos, giraffes, mountain zebras and other game. The plane will also fly along the treacherous Skeleton Coast and then past Torra Bay, Palgrave point, and Toscanini to Cape Cross seal reserve. From here, the flight will continue along the coast from Cape Cross, passing Henties Bay and the salt works north of Swakopmund on the way back to Swakopmund.
