African Bush Bird Luderitz Day Trip

On this day trip starting from Swakopmund, African Bush Bird Tours takes guests in a light aircraft over the Kuiseb River to Sossusvlei and then over the 2 000m high dolomitic Naukluft mountains, and past the extinct Brukaros volcano to Keetmanshoop where it will land to refuel.

After refuelling, the flight continues at a low level, zig-zagging over the Fishriver Canyon, up to Ai-Ais and then over the Diamond Restricted Area to land at Lüderitz Bucht where guests will be taken on a guided tour of the ghost town, Kolmanskop. A city tour of Lüderitz follows, and then lunch at a hotel.

The flight continues along the “Forbidden Coast” past two shipwrecks, and on to Sandwich Harbour, Namibia's coastal salt mines, south of Walvis Bay. The flight passes over the Langstrand Holiday Resort and the Dolphin Park Recreation Resort before returning to Swakopmund.
