About African Bush Bird Epupa Falls/Ovahimba Excursion

The Epupa Falls/Ovahimba Excursion is a day trip offered by African Bush Bird Tours. The flight departs from Swakopmund early in the morning and flies at a low level past the Brandberg, over Damaraland and Kaokoland to Epupa Falls where it will land and guests will be driven to an Ovahimba village where they will spend the morning with the Ovahimbas in their ‘kraal’. Guests will also be taken to see the majestic Epupa Falls after which lunch is served at the Omarunga Camp on the riverbed of the Kunene River.

After lunch, the plane will fly to Opuwo to refuel and continue along the Uniab Riverbed where guests might see desert elephants, rhinos, giraffes, mountain zebras and other game. It will then fly along the treacherous Skeleton Coast, passing Torra Bay, Palgrave point, and Toscanini on its way to Cape Cross seal reserve. From Cape Cross, the flight will pass Henties Bay and the salt works north of Swakopmund on its way back to Swakopmund.
