Simwenge Lodge

Simwenge Lodge is located on the banks of the Zambezi River between Deka and the Matetse River. It is accessible by air using Deka Airstrip (about 15 minutes from the lodge), or by road from Victoria Falls/Hwange. It is roughly a 2 hour drive from Victoria Falls airport. The lodge has 4 tents, each of which accommodates 2 guests, with extra mattresses available if need be. Each tent is air-conditioned with a double bed and fan. There are 2 bathrooms available, which are shared amongst all 4 tents. The bathrooms are enclosed but open under the stars! The lodge is very pretty and rustic, with on-site facilities including a bar and entertainment area with a big bar fridge, small bar fridge and ice maker, as well as a fully equipped kitchen with all the essentials! There are also 2 boats available for use during your stay at the lodge.
