About The Elephant Camp West
The Elephant Camp West's four suites cater for groups and families travelling to Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe. They match the size, style and design of the existing rooms at The Elephant Camp. Each has a bedroom area with interchangeable king or twin beds, a lounge with fold-out sleeper-couch beds for small families, a bathroom with a bath with a view and indoor and outdoor showers, and a private deck and plunge pool overlooking the Victoria Falls National Park, with the spray of the Falls on the horizon. The camp works as an extension of The Elephant Camp and a stand-alone facility for up to 16 guests. A central lounge holds the bar and indoor dining room, and the expansive deck is ideal for alfresco dining. Cuisine matches the standard at The Elephant Camp, with catering staff managed by its Executive Chef. During construction, bush clearing was kept to a bare minimum in line with Wild Horizons' environmental policy, and the suites were sited among existing trees and vegetation to maximise privacy. Other measures include grey water systems, worm farms for bio-waste, solar water heaters, the planting of 50 indigenous trees and a nursery to ensure the continued forestation of the Sanctuary.
