Swimuwini Self-Catering Lodges

Gonarezhou National Park, Zimbabwe

About Swimuwini Self-Catering Lodges

Nestled on the banks of the Nuanetsi Mwenezi River, Swimuwini Self-Catering Lodges offer a truly immersive experience of the Gonarezhou National Park. The chalets at Swimuwini have recently been refurbished, and offer visitors a somewhat more comfortable park experience. Chalets are equipped with solar geysers, lights, fridge/freezers and fully-equipped kitchens. Cooking takes place on gas stoves or in the portable braai’s available at every unit.

The 5,035 km² Gonarezhou National Park is the second-largest national park in Zimbabwe, and plays host to a globally significant population of the African elephant, currently numbering close to 11,000 animals. The landscape is scenic as a result of various sandstone incisions. The spectacular Chilojo Cliffs, at more than 180m high, lies at the heart of the Park and are a result of the river incision of the sandstones.
