About Khulu Bush Camp

Khulu Bush Camp “Grandfather” is located on a private concession of 6,000 acres.
One of the many charms of this camp is that it offers guests luxurious and private accommodation accompanied with old world hospitality.

Khulu comprises of 6 bespoke, thatched, safari style suites built onto slightly elevated platforms. Each well-appointed room is designed in a modern and contemporary style but has minimal impact to the surroundings and environment.The units have an indoor and outdoor shower and balcony for game viewing. The camp currently has a total capacity of only 12 people. All rooms overlook an ancient riverbed, the waterhole in this riverbed is known to attract a variety of the greatest wildlife and birdlife in Hwange. Khulu’s main area provides a full bar which also commands view of the waterhole and has in stock a variety of local and imported beverages.There is a plunge pool as well as a fire pit for stargazing and night caps.The camp has borehole water throughout and an on site laundry service.

Khulu Bush Camp comprises of 7 bespoke, thatched, safari style suites built onto platforms and 2 luxury honeymoon suite. The honeymoon suite comprises of an inside & outside shower and outside bath, as well as a swinging pod chair on the private balcony. Our suites are elegant and contemporary with minimal impact to the surroundings and environment. Each unit has an indoor and outdoor shower and balcony for game viewing as well as an individual tea and coffee service. The beds are twins but can all be converted to king sized for double occupancy. Each suite, including the honeymoon suite, consists of inside & outside showers, complimentary mini bars, nespresso machines and private balconies. The camp has a total capacity of only 12 people. Plug points in the room are South African 3 pinned round plugs, grounded, 15A, 220-240V. International adaptors available upon request. Hot water systems heated by wood fire twice daily, in the morning at 6am and the evening at 6pm. However, water can be heated upon request outside of these times and please allow for 30minutes for water to reach a suitable temperature.

Dining & Cuisine

Captains Table
Guests are wined and dined around the Captain's Table & served a set gourmet-three course meal. Khulu is also proud to invite guests to experience their unique "Show Kitchen" which enables you to get involved in the culinary processes, watch your food being prepared and interact with the talented chefs. Private/Romantic dining can be arranged with the managers in camp. Specific dietary requirements can be catered for and must be advised upon reservation.
