Forever African Safaris Luxury Private Tented Bush Camps

LUXURY PRIVATE BUSH CAMPS
Guests are accommodated in East African A-frame safari tents, each fully furnished with an en-suite bathroom (eco-drop latrines, a vanity and hot water bucket showers). Kitted for comfort and designed to be intimate and exclusive, camps typically comprise a maximum of 6 tents.Rooms come furnished with beds & linen, and a camp-style cupboard for storage. Tents sleep 2 pax and have either twin or double beds. For families with small children we have a special tent configuration, adjoining two tents with a bathroom at the back of the tents so that mum and children have complete access to one another during the night. Suited to families (children 12+), photographers, birders, horseback safari groups, photographers.

Bathrooms
The bathroom feature is an extension out of the back of the tent, shielded and private, though open-air i.e. ‘under the stars. It includes hot water bucket showers and eco-drop latrines, and each bathroom has a water station for washing hands / brushing teeth. It is intended to be functional rather than palatial, but we do ensure all the basics are in place to give you a comfortable ablution facility.

Camp Lighting
In and around camp we light pathways and main areas with paraffin lanterns. In our guest tents, the lighting is comprised of paraffin and LED lanterns.

Power Supply – Charging Equipment
Mobile camps are of course off the grid. However, we can supply inverters for recharging camera equipment and lights. In special circumstances, we can provide a generator – for film crews with equipment etc.

EXPLORER TENTED CAMP
Designed for the adventurous at heart. They are lighter-weight and they feature more informal camp-style furnishings. This is a simple, comfortable and functional camp, fully furnished, hosted and catered. Suited to birders, families (children 16+), horseback safari groups, photographers, hikers, adventure enthusiasts, explorers :)

THE TENTS
Explorer camps comprise dome-style tents fitted with basic furnishings, including stretcher beds and mattresses and a single camp-style cupboard for storage. The Explorer tents are just a sleeping space and not much more. The focus on these safaris is being out of camp – getting a full outdoor adventure and spending as little time as possible in the tents.

Bathrooms
Explorer camps have shared ablutions (with hot water bucket showers & drop toilets, or we may use the National Parks site's ablution facilities) and are generally more rustic overall.

Lighting
Similar to Luxury Mobiles, the camp has paraffin and LED lanterns for lighting in keeping with the moon-lit bush ambiance.

Survivor Bush Camp

Super light-weight dome-style fully eco-camp with mattresses, shared ablutions with showers & eco-latrines, interactive and participatory in all respects. Easily moveable. 2-6 tents.
