Seldomseen

Situated in the Vumba (also known as the Bvumba) mountain range overlooking Mozambique, this birdwatcher’s paradise offers a glimpse of the rarer and more secretive of the forest birds. The name Seldomseen is a pun as you seldom see the birds but you often hear them! Hence bird watching here can be hard work but very rewarding if you are patient.

Consisting of two cottages and a lodge, the venue offers the birdwatcher a serene atmosphere to relax and unwind with the family. The accommodation is fully equipped for self catering and serviced daily. Guests are encouraged to explore the indigenous forests, or you can hire a local guide to show you some of our special birds.

Seldomseen is 25km from Mutare just off the main Vumba road.
