About Time + Tide Chongwe Suites

Named after indigenous plants growing in the area, the Cassia and Albida Suites are nestled under ancient towering trees at the confluence of the Chongwe and Zambezi Rivers.
The one-bedroom Cassia Suite is a private suite for two, perfect for honeymooners and couples. The two-bedroom, two-bathroom Albida Suite sleeps four guests and is great for families wanting their own space or friends travelling together. Both have en-suite open air bathrooms with a clawfoot bath, a canopied lounge and dining area, a pool overlooking the river, a fire pit and a dedicated butler.
Dine privately in your suite or in the main camp lounge on the riverbank, enjoying cuisine that celebrates local seasonal ingredients. Notice how much better your nightcap tastes when it’s served in a crystal glass by the fire.
Lower Zambezi National Park is known for the variety of activities on offer, including game drives, walking safaris, canoeing safaris, boat cruises and tiger fishing. The Albida Suite includes privately-guided activities.

Albida Suite

Nestled under ancient winterthorn trees at the confluence of the Chongwe and Zambezi Rivers, the two-bedroom Albida Suite is perfect for families and friends traveling together. The suite offers butler service, a plunge pool and firepit overlooking the river and private dining options.
The Albida Suite sleeps four guests in two spacious bedrooms with elegant en-suite bathrooms, set on either side of a private dining room and lounge area. The whole suite is open air, with views of the confluence of the Chongwe and Zambezi Rivers on one side and the Zambezi Escarpment on the other. With privately guided activities, it is ideal for families or friends travelling together.
Wildlife regularly pass through the area, with elephants often playing and crossing the channel directly in front of the suite.

Time + Tide Chongwe Suites
When staying in the Time + Tide Chongwe Suites, guests have the option to either dine privately in their suite, or in the dining area of Chongwe Camp for a more lively ambiance. If dining privately in your villa, your private butler will attend to your every want and need. Meal times at Chongwe are up to you:
Breakfast 6.00am - 7.00am. Watch the hippos stir and early morning game drinking from the river bank in front of you while you sip hot coffee and enjoy a light breakfast.
Brunch 11.30am - 12.30pm. After returning from your morning activity a buffet brunch is served.
High Tea 3.30pm - 4.00pm. Meet for drinks and a delicious, freshly baked treat before setting off on your afternoon activity
Dinner 7.30pm - 8.00pm. After pre-dinner drinks and canapés around the fire, guests are seated for a delicious three course dinner served al fresco under a canopy of stars.
Our team of Chefs are more than happy to cater for any special dietary requirements. If your food preferences or requirements could be considered out of the ordinary (vegetarian, vegan, gluten, dairy free etc) then we do ask that you inform us in advance of your arrival.
