Mtondo Camp

Mtondo is a private safari house located in the 8,700 acre Kayla Private Game Reserve,

which is nestled between the Western GMA (Game Management Area) and the Eastern

GMA, and backed by the impressive Zambezi escarpment. The game reserve has the big four

and is part of a wider conservation effort to protect the Chiawa GMA.

Mtondo is the private house with two separate villas and a river suite attached to the main

house, in addition there is a private guides room which can also be used to accommodate

children. The outdoor lounge area looks over a deck and swimming pool which sits on the

banks of the Lower Zambezi, the house also has an indoor library and TV room.

Mtondo has a relaxed atmosphere and the culinary experience is dominated by no frills

home cooking with some local delicacies thrown in the mix.
