About Lolelunga Private Reserve
Lolelunga Private Reserve is Zambia’s first fully fenced private reserve, spanning 30,000 hectares of remote wilderness in the northwest, just 30 km north of Kafue National Park. At its heart lies 13 km of the Lunga River, a crystal-clear waterway that defines the landscape, attracts a wealth of wildlife, and provides a spectacular setting for guests.
The reserve has, over the past years, been restored into a flourishing sanctuary dedicated to rewilding, conservation, and community. Wildlife sightings are rich and varied, from elephant, lion, and buffalo to sable antelope, hippo, and a remarkable diversity of birdlife. Cheetah were successfully reintroduced in 2024, and future plans include the return of black rhino, reinforcing Lolelunga’s role as a conservation leader in Zambia.
Accommodation is deliberately exclusive, with just 14 guests hosted in elegant riverside suites. Guests can enjoy a well-equipped gym, spa, and the striking Ngoma Deck, a unique space for private dining or starlit sleepouts overlooking the river.
