Busanga Plains Mobile Camp

At Jeffery & McKeith Safaris we are proud to be the only operator of fully mobile fly-camps in the Kafue. Created through a demand for this ‘classic’ Zambian safari experience here in the Kafue we began our mobile careers by leading a bespoke walking trip in 2012, covering some 120km in just over 3 days! Now what we are offering here is not that hectic, but rather a unique opportunity to get to know other areas of the park, with walking safaris and game drives the activities of choice.

We offer set-date (below), small group (6 pax. max.), privately guided, 3 night stays in our remote camp location some 60km north of Musekese Camp… Our mobile camp is typically erected in an area of the park known as Treetops or Musanza, this allows us access to the famed Busanga area, as well as the prolific wildlife and birding haven that is the Moshi and Musanza area. Our mobile camp is typically booked in conjunction with Musekese Camp, with a 3 night Musekese and 3 night Mobile option being most popular. Camp consists of safari dome tents with veranda, comfortable mattresses and good linen inside with solar lighting. Bucket showers and a short drop toilet make up the ablutions, both well appointed and comfortable too. Camera battery charging is available through a solar panel and inverter system. A main mess tent area is available to escape the midday heat, with cold drinks and hearty meals served under the stars…
