Gal-Gihon

A warm "hello" from your hosts. Our dream of creating an oasis of rest and refuge was fulfilled when we took over the old Grand Hotel in Laingsburg. It was always known for its lovely country charm and warm hospitality, and we have put in a lot of effort to not only preserve these important qualities, but to also incorporate stylish decor in the new, upgraded hotel - Gal-Gihon. "Gal" is Hebrew for "babbling brook", and its significance refers to the fact that the hotel will be a stream of refreshing water to the weary traveller in the dryness of the Karoo. "Gihon" refers to the second river in the Garden of Eden. It is our prayer that you will find rest and refreshment during your stay here. Warm regards.
