About Cape Karoo Guesthouse
Cape Karoo Guesthouse caters for families, business travellers as well as honeymooners searching for accommodation in the heart of the Central-Karoo: Beaufort West. This elegant oasis has five en-suite rooms, each with its own entrance. Rooms lead to a refreshing country atmosphere in the enchanted garden. Our guesthouse is pet and child friendly.
The main house is an original Sir Herbert Baker, built in 1902, and each garden room has a rich history. We are a small guesthouse which is owner-operated; therefore we offer individual attention to all of our guests.
Traditionally Cape Karoo Guesthouse offers bed and breakfast accommodation, but self-catering units are also available. We serve a full English breakfast and dinner (on request) in the communal dining area during winter or in the garden during summer. We also have braai facilities and braai-packs are available for those who want to enjoy the famous organic A-grade Karoo lamb chops.

This luxury room is brand new and consists of a king-size bed and a sleeper couch, making it perfect for a family. En-suite bathroom with corner bath/shower combination
Windpomp Room
This is one of the newly renovated rooms. Old stables were converted into luxury rooms and decorated with our take on Karoo-chic. This luxurious room has a king-size bed and en-suite bathroom with a shower
Afri-Karoo
This room has two single beds which can easily be converted into a luxury king-size bed. The en-suite bathroom has a shower. No extra beds are available for this room, it can accommodate a maximum of 2 adults
Garden Cottage
The garden cottage has a double bed and two single beds, a perfect family unit. The unit has a walk-in shower and a separate toilet. The cottage is perfect for garden lovers and bird watchers as it has a verandah which leads out into the garden
Lady Baker Room
This room is part of the main building with own private entrance, Twin beds with en-suite bathroom with shower.
Sir Baker Room
This room is part of the man building with its own private entrance. king size bed and the ensuite bathroom has a bath and a shower.
