Welgevonden Reserve is a declared heritage site of 37 000 hectares adjoining the Marakele National Park in the breathtaking malaria-free Waterberg Biosphere. Only 3 hours north of Johannesburg, this true bushveld environment is home to Africa’s most sought after game species, with one of the largest collections of white rhino. Join a guided safari or specialised bush walk with an experienced ranger to view elephant, lion, leopard, buffalo, giraffe, zebra, eland and many other antelope species, with the opportunity to spot the aardvark, brown hyena or the rarely seen honey badger and bush pig. Nedile Lodge is uniquely positioned on a rock-strewn hilltop, with sweeping views of the Big Five landscape. Friendly staff welcome you to the charming lodge, which has been stylishly and creatively designed and decorated to create a warm and most relaxed ambience. Nedile Lodge accommodates up to 10 Guests in 5 individual thatched rooms. Spacious bedrooms have dramatic views of the bush and hills from private decks and full bathrooms. Fireplaces and outdoor showers add a special touch. African Rungu and Swedish massages can be indulged in in the new treatment room or in the privacy of your own chalet. Soothing rim-flow rock pool.
