In the heart of the malaria-free Welgevonden Private Game Reserve in the Waterberg, lies Ekuthuleni Lodge or "place of peace”. In a natural basin surrounded by low hills with sweeping savannah plains, Ekuthuleni Lodge is just that! Home to the Big Five and many other species of game, Ekuthuleni Lodge is the ideal place for a relaxing bush break. Daily game drives conducted by experienced rangers provide intimate details of the abundant flora and fauna, many of which is unique to the Waterberg. Watch Africa awaken as the morning sun scribbles intriguing patterns across the veld. Evening safaris, after sundowners, could see lions on the hunt and leopards stalking prey in the cover of darkness. Glowing lanterns and fires in the boma welcome returning guests, where delicious meals prepared with the freshest ingredients are served beneath the stars, out on the deck or in the cosy dining room. During the day, lounge next to the swimming pool overlooking the waterhole and grassy plains, or if the weather is cooler, curl up with a book at the fireplace in one of the comfortable living rooms. Each of the five rooms offer intimacy and privacy, with romantic bathrooms that open onto a private courtyard with both indoor and outdoor showers. As a courtesy to other guests we request that you please arrive on time. If you are not able to arrive at the set pick-up time, a late pick-up can be arranged but this is subject to availability.
