Hillside Guesthouse is a luxury guesthouse conveniently situated in the heart of the upmarket suburb of Umhlanga Rocks, minutes walking distance away from the beach (300 meters) and the vibrant Umhlanga Village (700 meters) but far enough away to have the benefit of peace and quiet after a long day at the beach or in the office.

Hillside Guesthouse is owner-run by Ina and Eugene and is ideally suited for discerning business and leisure travellers who can look forward to a warm welcome, superb hospitality and a home away from home. Combining style and warmth with generous hospitality and personal service.

The communal lounge opens onto a large covered patio with sea views where you can either relax on your own, or with a visitor, or socialise with other guests. We also have communal barbeque / braai facilities at the plunge pool.

Hillside Guesthouse is situated in the heart of Umhlanga Rocks, Kwa Zulu Natal, South Africa, within walking distance to the many fine restaurants, pubs and shops. The world famous Umhlanga beach and promenade is a five minute walk away. Our knowledge of the surrounding restaurants means that we can assist in finding a venue to satisfy every guest.

Hillside Guesthouse is only a 30 minute drive from the Durban International Airport and 15 minutes from Durban. Our accommodation is within easy driving distance of The Durban ICC, multiple sports stadiums, golden beaches, Sun Coast and Sibaya Casino, Craft Markets, UShaka Marine World, Gyms, many Golf Courses, including Umhlanga Ridge and La Lucia business parks. Also nearby are Durban's best shopping destinations, the Gateway Theatre of Shopping and the exclusive La Lucia Mall.

We are also well situated en route to St Lucia, Hluhluwe and Umfolosi Game Reserves and is in the province of Kwazulu Natal, South Africa.
