"What an holiday to remember. First time we stayed in a bed and breakfast and i couldn''t have been more pleased. What made this holiday the best was Jenny, she looked after us, as if we were family. "We enjoyed 2 nights in the "Louise Room" (great, with sea view) and this is the perfect location to be for a beach holiday. You are directly at the beach, only a small street is between the B&B and the beach. Also you can sit on the veranda and have a great overlook over the sea, &the surfers. The pool area is lovely, when you don''t like to have sand between your toes. The breakfast is delicous and the staff is very friendly, so what else do you need for a beach holiday?"

"We had a great time at Fairlight in early January 2012. Being able to lie in bed in the Louise Room (highly recommended) and watch the dolphins playing in the surf was priceless. The staff were very good and the breakfasts a delight. Would definitely return !"

"My family spent a week at Fairlight and couldn''t have been happier there. The accommodation was as expected for a 4-star guest house - clean and well-cared for, with the occasional up-market touch here and there. The service, however, was far beyond what we have grown to expect in South Africa, where service levels tend to lag behind the quality of the property itself. We were assisted with many small concerns throughout the stay there - always quickly and efficiently. Although they do not do laundry during the busy season due to their limited staff, they were able to help us with some "essentials" anyway and got it to us the next day. When we asked about whether the DVD player could be moved from one of our rooms to the other, the owner simply popped out and bought an additional player for the other room. If you find yourself in Umdloti, I suspect you cannot do better than Fairlight."
