About Makanyi Private Game Lodge

An intimate eight-suite lodge located in a private, pristine area of the Timbavati which adjoins the world-famous Kruger National Park, South Africa.

Situated overlooking a permanent water hole, teeming with game, guest suites are a very generous 140sqm/1500sqft with two suites also having a plunge pool. One of the suites is two-bedroomed, ideal for couples or a small family (children over 12).

We keep things discreet! Makanyi has a limit of just three game drive vehicles, which with an area of 8000 hectares to cover means you’ll feel like you’re truly in the wilderness!

Open plan flowing from bathroom to bedroom (with sliding door) to lounge to deck. All suites have a deck to relax and view the game which frequents the lodge grounds, and all have views of a waterhole. 140m² (1,500ft²) private suites overlooking the bush, with the year-round dam just 100m away. Custom made furnishings, indoor and outdoor showers, free-standing bathtubs, lounge area with a gas fireplace for ambiance on those cold winter nights, luxury bathroom amenities, mini bar & fridge, Tea & Coffee making facilities, ‘Nespresso’ coffee machine, hair dryer, Wi-Fi (bush/satellite technology permitting!), and in-suite safe.
