About Malewane Lodge at Royal Malewane
Malewane Lodge, the original flagship of Royal Malewane, sits on the western boundary of the Greater Kruger National Park, where classic safari elegance meets refined modern comfort. Wake to herds of animals gathering at the lodge's bustling waterhole, explore the bush with the most qualified guiding team in Africa, and retreat to one of just eight suites, from intimate Luxury Suites with private heated plunge pools to sprawling two-bedroom Royal Suites with dedicated chefs, hosts and safari vehicles. Between game drives, unwind at the Royal Waters Spa, enjoy a curated selection of South Africa's most celebrated wines over a bush dinner beneath the stars, or step into Malewane's conservation work firsthand with a visit to the Conservation and Research Centre. Hosting just 20 guests at a time, this is safari at its most personal, refined and unforgettable.

Luxury Suite
Boasting unparalleled views overlooking the surrounding wilderness, Malewane Lodge's Luxury Suites represent understated elegance. Well appointed and air conditioned, they provide an elegant refuge in the heart of the bush complete with a private heated pool, an outdoor sala, and a large en suite bathroom with a bath and both indoor and outdoor showers.
All suites have a full minibar, a TV and Wi-Fi.
Royal Suite
A large, private outside deck complete with a pool makes the most of the surrounding wild beauty in complete seclusion. Inside, the décor is classic and elegant.
There are two en-suite bedrooms on either side of a large living room and dining area. The Royal Suites offer private services, including a private chef, guide, tracker and safari vehicle. Children of all ages are welcome.
Royal Suites have a full mini bar, air conditioning, a TV and Wi-Fi.

The Masiya Bar | Malewane Lodge
The Masiya Bar pays homage to the history of Royal Malewane and its Master Trackers, in particular, Wilson Masiya. Wilson was a part of The Royal Portfolio family since we opened our doors in 1999 and was a formidable part of the guest experience at Royal Malewane, his incredible love and wisdom for the bush having a lasting effect on all he encountered.
Located right on the water’s edge The Masiya Bar showcases our fabulous collection of gins and over 50 whiskies. Guests will be able to share stories of the day’s adventures over a cocktail or a glass of wine.
Bush Dinners
A truly remarkable and romantic experience with glowing lanterns casting a gentle light among the brightly burning braziers. Bush Dinners bring a whole new meaning to “al fresco” and should not be missed. Look up at the stars, surrounded by the bustling wilderness.
