As the name suggests, River Cottage is nestled on the banks of the Great Berg River in Port Owen. Near Velddrift on the West Coast, Port Owen is surrounded on three sides by the Great Berg River creating the ideal natural retreat from the hustle and bustle of city life. The peaceful stillness of River Cottage is a little piece of heaven on earth.

River Cottage offers self-catering accommodation for up to four adults in two beautifully appointed en-suite bedrooms. Wake up to stunning views of the river and the abundant bird life that make their home in the surrounding wetlands and bird sanctuary. It’s not hard to relax in the tranquil surroundings with spectacular views of the river from the dining room and outdoor patio. River Cottage features a fully equipped kitchen, spacious open-plan living area and a fireplace to kick your shoes off and enjoy a sun-downer (or two) as the sun dips below the horizon.
