About Thornbay Accommodation
Thornbay Accommodation is the prime establishment in Doringbaai, a small town in southern Namaqualand, situated on the West Coast of South Africa.
At Thornbay Accommodation we offer ten fully equipped, self-catering accommodation units with fantastic views of the sea, often accompanied by breath-taking sunsets over the Atlantic Ocean.
Each accommodation unit has a patio braai area and its own entrance. Parking is available on the premises. Other facilities available include a recreation room with pool table, football and dartboard, a trampoline and a swimming pool.
A fully stocked fishery is available for all your seafood needs, firewood and ice. Fishing tackle and a limited stock of diving equipment are also available. When catering for your family becomes a chore, a restaurant and pub are only a minute's walk away from Thornbay Accommodation.

Shark Apartment
This 2-bedroom, ground-floor unit can accommodate a maximum of 4 adults and 3 children under 12 years. The main bedroom is furnished with a queen-size bed and a single bed, while the second bedroom has 2 single beds and a bunk bed set.
Bonito Apartment
These 1-bedroom, ground-floor units can each accommodate a maximum of 2 adults and 2 children under 12 years. Each unit features a double bed in the bedroom and a double fold-down futon in the lounge area. Linen and bath towels are provided.
Whale Apartment
Maximum 2 adults and 2 children under 12 These studio open-plan, ground-floor units are located next to each other. The Whale unit has a queen bed, double fold-down futon.
Barracuda Aapartment
This 2-bedroom, first-floor unit can accommodate up to 4 guests. Each unit features a double bed in the main bedroom and 2 single beds in the second bedroom as well as a double fold-down futon in the lounge area. Linen and bath towels are provided.
Dolphin Apartment
Maximum 2 adults and 2 children under 12 These studio open-plan, ground-floor units are located next to each other. The Dolphin unit features a Queen bed and a double fold-down futon.
Dorado Apartment
This 2-bedroom, first-floor unit can accommodate a maximum of 4 adults and 2 children under 12 years. The main bedroom is furnished with a double bed while the second bedroom has 2 single beds. Linen and bath towels are provided.
Mackerel Apartment
This first-floor studio apartment is ideal for an overnight stay. It features a queen-size bed and an en-suite bathroom that is fitted with a shower. Outside, there is a braai patio with portable braai facilities.
Garrick Apartment
These 1-bedroom, ground-floor units can each accommodate a maximum of 2 adults and 2 children under 12 years. Each unit features a double bed in the bedroom and a double fold-down futon in the lounge area. Linen and bath towels are provided.
Marlin Apartment
