Seabush Cottage

Seabush Cottage is a private residence that is situated in the heart of Sibuya Game Reserve which is approximately 5km away from the seaside village of Kenton-on-Sea in the Eastern Cape Province of South Africa. Falling midway between Port Elizabeth and East London, Seabush Cottage is easy to reach along the R72 coastal road between these two cities. The nearest airport is in Port Elizabeth with regular flights to and from the major city centres. The area is malaria free – no malaria medication is necessary when you visit us. The Eastern Cape area boasts 5 out of the 6 different biomes of the world, which makes for a diverse African experience.

Grahamstown, a small university and schooling town steeped in South African history and plays host to the famous National Arts Festival (the largest international Arts Festival other than the Edinburgh Festival in Scotland) is a 35 minute drive away. Bathurst, a half-hour drive from Kenton-on-Sea, is a tiny farming village, where many locals offer their arts and crafts for sale. Besides its historical value, Bathurst is renowned for its annual 'Ox Braai'. This is an all-day celebration and people of all ages travel from far and wide to attend.
