About Drie Kuilen Nature Reserve
Drie Kuilen Nature Reserve is situated in a beautiful part of the Montague district, in the Klein Karoo. This mountainous terrain stretches over 4300ha with a rich variety of fauna and flora. Being only a two hour drive away from Cape Town, this reserve is home to a wide variety of protected game and is rich in fynbos and renosterveld vegetation types. Game drives, mountain bike trails, rock art, 4×4 and hiking trails are just some of the activities available, with various accommodation options for guests to stay in.
Accommodation Options
Eland House
Our spacious gem in the yard. This house sleeps comfortably up to 6 people and comes with a fully equipped kitchen, lounge and glass enclosed veranda. Highlights are the pool table, an indoor braai and the hot tub on the private patio.
Springbok House
Springbok Cottage comfortably accommodates up to 4 people with its open design and cosy lounge area around the fireplace. You can enjoy a beautiful mountain view also from the patio while the highlight is a wood-fired hot tub
Gemsbok House
A relaxing choice for a family or smaller group who would like to spend uninterrupted time in nature, the Gemsbok unit is centrally located on the reserve and has complete self-catering facilities with a spacious living area
Zebra Cottage
Zebra Cottage is an off-grid cabin located in a remote place on the reserve. It runs on solar power (including fridge/freezer) and has a 2-plate gas stove. An in-built braai on the terrace and a wood-fired hot tub will make your stay extraordinary
Bontebok House
Bontebok house is our modern luxury home in a remote valley of the reserve next to a vivid small dam. Solar power allows full self sustainability and the spacious design underlines stunning views. Enjoy the hot tub and wildlife!
Pear-Bush-Camp
Our campsite offers 4 camping spots, braai areas and an outdoor fireplace. The ablution house has a kitchen counter with a sink, separate toilet and shower (cold water only). It's surrounded by old fruit and oak trees and placed next to a dam
