About Umzinyathi Farmhouse
This farmhouse is a charming stone and corrugated iron roof building built in the 1920’s. It was once home to George Buntting, who was an expert on the Anglo Zulu War. The farmhouse is at the top of the reserve and has a wonderful view of Isandlwana.
After major renovations, it now has three en suite bedrooms (two with double beds and one with twin beds), sitting room with a fireplace, dining room, kitchen and a large verandah. It is a self-catering unit, but guests do also have the option of having meals at the lodge (at an additional cost) if they do not wish to self cater.
