About The Capital House

Capital House Boutique Hotel, The Waterkloof Mansion is an exclusive five star hotel in the center of the diplomatic residential area of Pretoria. The property is adjacent to the homes of the Ambassador of the United States, and the British High Commissioner.

Taking a morning walk around our hotel is a treat, as we are surrounded by stunning views and the most spectacular mansions in our safe enclave. Capital House has hosted presidents, foreign ministers, generals and numerous diplomatic guests. We are very well acquainted with all aspects of high level security.

We are the closest hotel to the Pretoria Country Club, home of the fabulous Blu Saffron restaurant. We are within walking distance to many of this capital city’s most exclusive restaurants and shopping, as well as a small but excellent art gallery.

Capital House serves a traditional English breakfast as well as light continental breakfast. We bake bread every morning on the premises. We can adjust to all tastes and dietary restrictions. Lunch and dinner can be easily arranged by request.

We do exclusive meals, wine tastings and small conferences as well as very elegant weddings.

Capital House is not suitable for families or parties, we rarely accept children under 12 years old.

We have secure onsite parking for all our guests.

Presidential Room with View and Balcony
Extremely elegant room with gorgeous view. Several heads of state have used this room, and the very large partners desk. The balcony, modern marble bathroom, and the spacious walk-in closet make this room an ideal location for short or long stays.
Superior Queen Room with View
This lovely room is located in the original mansion. It has outstanding imported furniture and lovely antique Chinese paintings. The room is bright and airy with a wonderful view.
Romantic Room with Four Poster King Bed
Quiet bedroom and large bathroom make this romantic room ideal for couples to retreat into their own world. The large desk and small sitting area also work well for a business traveller.
Small, standard double room.
This is our most basic room. Will suit students or visitors who need a comfortable bed for the night. Full breakfast included.
Superior Single Room with Terrace
Compact room with large closet. This room is part of the original mansion and has beautiful hardwood floors, and access to all the hotel amenities downstairs.
Superior Handicap Accessible Room
This spacious room is wheelchair accessible. The entire downstairs of the house is easy to navigate in a wheelchair. There is both a courtyard and a patio adjacent to the room for outdoor dining, and breakfast can be served in the privacy of the room.
Superior Queen with Cozy Window Seat
This charming room is a favorite with our guests. It's proximity to the courtyard and main building make it both quiet and convenient. European style bathroom with bidet and tiles throughout.
Elegant Extra Large Room
Elegantly furnished room with high ceilings is of great charm. The imported furniture, including a roll topped desk make this large room stately.
Standard Queen Room with Terrace
This room is located upstairs toward the back of the property. It has a secluded terrace and is perfect for private sun downers.
Private Standard Queen Room
This smaller room is located upstairs, outside with a private entrance. This room can be connected to room 9 if desired. It has a marble bathroom and French furniture.
Small and Elegant Queen
This little room is perfect for a short stay. It can be adjoined to room 12 if desired.
Balcony, View King Plus Single Room
Great view from your private balcony. This room boasts a beutiful marble bathroom and has a King bed and a single bed and can adjoin with Queen room 11.
High Ceiling King Room with Terrace
This is a light-filled large bedroom, it was the art studio of the original mansion.
Romantic Apartment Four Poster King Bed
The separate kitchen with it's own dining area,makes this luxury apartment the ideal location for a long stay. The private balcony is large with a great view.
