About Picardie Guest Farm
Picardie permeates a rich heritage that irrevocably contributes to its current day charm. Nestled below the National Afrikaans language monument at the foot of the Paarl mountains, there is more story than meets the eye.
The first four farms in todays Suider Paarl, have already been granted by Johannes Muller, Magistrate of Stellenbosch in 1689. Picardie belonged to Isaac Taillefert, the father of Jean Taillefert, to whom Laborie was granted. La Concorde was granted to Gabrielle le Roux and Goede Hoop to Jean Cloudon. All these farms were 60 morgen, stretching from the banks of the Bergriver as the East border and Paarl Mountain as the West border.

The Trekker Room has a veranda to embrace the outdoors and dam view. It is a lovely cool room. Ideal for short stays, guests in transit, or those wanting to escape the rush over the weekend.

Our Lakeside Suites are quaint, functional, and comfortable. Ideal for groups with or without kids wanting a little bit more exclusivity. All our suites have a lawn for laid-back relaxation & a view over the farm lake. This Suite sleeps 4 and is larger.
