About Oude Denneboom
Some years ago the original sheepherders cottage built in the late 1800's, was restored. We recently restored its stables, some 200 meters away.
A pair of barn owls that lived in the sheepherders' cottage are now happily breeding in their new nesting box right outside the cottage bedroom
We offer four star amenities with the charm of reed ceilings, wooden shutters and an authentic old world atmosphere. You will have your own private swimming pool, where you can bask in the sun or go for a late night swim during the hot summer nights.
Both cottages are self-catering and you only have to bring your own food and drinks. We provide bedding, towels, cutlery, crockery and utensils. The main bedrooms in both cottages have Queen size, extra length beds and a modern en-suite bathroom, with bath and shower. The second bedroom has 2 single beds and en-suite bathroom with a shower. All bedrooms have air-conditioning. The cottages are serviced daily, except for Sundays and certain public holidays.
Please note we do not have televisions in our cottages as our guests prefer to enjoy nature and the surroundings. As it is situated in the middle of our game reserve, you can sit on the stoep or go for a walk and watch game and the birdlife. Bring your own tackle and do some fishing, bring your mountain bikes, take unique photographs, gaze at the stars, explore various wine routes or join our people during harvest.
