About Tugela River Lodge
Tugela River Lodge is a self-catering bush camp, located on a private cattle and game farm on the banks of the Tugela River, near Winterton, KZN, South Africa.
In the shadow of the famous Anglo-Boer Battlefield of Spionkop, the rustic and pet friendly accommodation is the ideal place for a romantic get away for 2, or a family weekend, or a large group get together. We have a total of 24 beds in stand alone thatch cottages, that can be booked either as the Lodge - an 18 bed set up, or the Hideaway - a 6 sleeper.

The Lodge
Ideal for group bookings, The Lodge sleeps a total of 18 people. The main lodge has 3 bedrooms and one bathroom, with a shower, toilet and basin. There is a double bed in the bedroom downstairs, and 4 single beds in the 2 upstairs mezzanine level bedrooms
The Hideaway
The Hideaway is a 6 sleeper unit, with a kitchen, lounge and dining room downstairs, and 2 bedrooms upstairs. One room has a queen size bed and the other has 4 single beds. This unit is ideal for smaller groups and families.
Homestead
Homestead sleeps 10 adults, Great for family getaways, Bathroom en suite. On the banks of Tugela River.
