About Holkrans Guest Lodge
The farm 'Holkrans' became the family farm in 1946. As the farm is conveniently situated, it was always the stay over for "velleverkopers" and travelers. Ouma Martha's home and table was always ready to accommodate by-passers and help in need. The current owners took over in 1981 and started breeding an Arabian stud as well as Endurance horses. Further more the farm developed into its current state.
The guest-farm vision was reborn and became a reality in 2009. With the deer game and farm scenery enhancing the experience, the idea for special treatment to just a handful of guests was created as they now offer two accommodation types. Holkrans' mission is to conserve the deer game and make it possible for guests to see them in their natural and peaceful surroundings of the Kalahari. The lodge has numerous deer species, Jackal and Rooikat.
Accommodation Options
Dune Chalet
Situated high on a dune to enjoy the spectacular scenery of the Kalahari, guest or families are welcome at our Dune chalet.
Enjoy the following facilities while different buck-species roam outside your window and drink at the waterhole.
Please note the area has limited cellular reception and a 4x4 vehicle is required to and from the chalet.
Garden Chalet
Luxurious thatched family room situated in a luscious garden located near the main house
Green Room
The Green Room is a Luxury private room, equipped for two guests.
This room is adjacent to the Garden Suite and can be combined to form a convenient familiy apartment.
