About Housemartin
The Housemartin Guest House is named after the common house martin, sometimes called the northern house martin or, particularly in Europe, just house martin which is a migratory passerine bird of the swallow family which breeds in Europe, North Africa and across the Palearctic;
House martin swallows visit South Africa every summer; they make their nests against houses, mainly near outside doors. We have had many house martins nest against our buildings and, therefore, we decided to name the guesthouse after them.
Like the Housemartin Guest House, our guests return to us time and time again. The Housemartin Guest House is situated in Wilkoppies, a quiet and safe suburb of Klerksdorp.
The Housemartin Guest House is directly opposite the Wilmed Park Private Hospital which is a fully fledged private hospital in Klerksdorp, combining state-of-the-art equipment and professional nursing care with a tranquil healing environment rated to be one of the top twenty private hospitals in South Africa.
