The retreat offers a farmhouse that sleeps 6, a cottage that sleeps 2 and 2 double rooms in the manor.
The farmhouse includes 2 double rooms with ensuite and one twin room with its own bathroom. It also has a lounge, dining room, kitchen and barbeque facilities.
The cottage is a double unit with an ensuite, small kitchen, dining area and lounge. It also has a private patio and barbeque facilities.
Two double rooms with ensuite in the manor also has a dining room and a lounge.
A delicious slow-cooked farm dinner and farm style breakfast can be booked upfront.
Platbakkies offer true nature at its best! Farm tours, hiking trails, guided 4x4 trails, bird watching and much more activities to enjoy!

Platbakkies Farmhouse
Our renovated farmhouse has room for 6 people and includes free Wi-Fi. The house has 3 rooms with one queen bed, one double bed, and 2 single beds. Two rooms has an en-suite and the third room has its own bathroom.
Wild Camping
Wild Camping on Platbakkies is a true adventure, either camping in the klipkoppies with gemsbok grazing around, in the gauge on your way to the crater or sharing the grassfields with Nguni cattle, goat or sheep.
The Cottage
The cottage is a comfortable apartment with a double bed, kitchen and sitting area. It has braai facilities outlooking farm activities and the plains of the Boesmanland.
Farmyard Camping
Camp right here with us at the farm yard! Bathroom with shower, basin and toilet, warm water, electricity and a view on both the Boesmanland plains and the Namaqualand koppies.
Rooiberg
Rooiberg gives you astonishing views on the Kamiesberg and its extraordinary sunsets. The spacious and relaxing atmosphere will let you wind down and enjoy a super quiet and dark night. INCLUDES DINNER AND BREAKFAST.
