About Miss Chrissies Country House
This is a beautiful country house with individual charm and character, restored caringly while still retaining many of its original features.
We offer nine en-suite guest rooms in a restored sandstone building, dating back to the 1870's. The style is traditional with a classic ambience, some having fireplaces.
There is also a private self-catering cottage in the garden. We have a small campsite in the oak forest as well, where you can decide where to pitch your tent or park your caravan.
The communal lounge area has a large open fireplace, and is usually where we serve dinner. You can spend endless evenings relaxing with your family or friends, enjoying beautiful food and music.
The charming restaurant is furnished with some lovely pieces, and is joined by a large entertainment area with a built-in braai and overlook the lake. Experience beautiful sunsets over the lake with a sundowner on the veranda, or while strolling around the large garden. Guests can join in with the farm activities involving our sheep, cattle, geese, feed the calves or maybe learn to milk a cow.
