About Imbambala Wilderness Trail Camp

This private and secluded camp is accessed via a scenic 30 minute boat ride through the reserve during which one can spot many of the large variety of game and birds home to this sanctuary.

Days are spent either game viewing on foot, game viewing on boat or in an open game-viewing vehicle. During the game walks the emphasis in on the intrinsic of the fauna and flora of the area, however close encounters with some of Africa's large mammals adds to the excitement of the day.

The wide variety of habitat allows for more than 300 different bird species to congregate in this area making it a discerning ornithologists' haven.

Abseiling and archaeological sites are also highlights of this African experience. For the enthusiast horse riding can be arranged if requested well in advance.

Enjoy memorable evenings around the campfire, whilst sipping a sundowner from the bar, discussing the various species observed under a crystal clear night skies.
Imbambala is nestled into bush on the banks of Loskop Dam accommodating 18 guests in twin safari-style tents on raised wooden decks. For larger groups a tent with double bunk beds (sleeping 12) is available.

A central wooden lounge, bar, dining area and sun deck is homely and allows for guests to mingle and chat with the rangers.

Double Rooms

Double beds that canbe converted into twin beds / or with two additional single beds if required. Has shared ablutions within the camp.

Luxury Double Rooms

With Queen size beds, electric blankets and bar fridges. the above has the added luxury of having their own ablutions.

8 - Man Room

8 - Man room with four bunk beds and has shared ablutions within the camp. Ideal for students or fishing groups etc.
