About Tranquilitas Adventure Farm
Tranquilitas Adventure Farm is situated in a spectacular natural setting on the hilltops of Waterval Boven, overlooking the Elands Valley and Waterval Onder in Mpumalanga. Tranquilitas Adventure Farm is a rock climbing and mountain biking mecca, with over 600 bolted climbing routes and 80 km of single track mountain bike trails.
Accommodation consists of four rustic Chalets, six Perma-tents, two Max Tents and a Farm house.
Each of the rustic, self-catering chalets can accommodate a maximum of 4 guests. An open-plan kitchen and lounge area opens up onto a covered patio with braai facilities and outdoor furniture.
There are 6 Perma-tents, which can sleep 4; There are either 2 single beds or a double bed in each tent in the zip up bedroom. There is space for extra mattresses. Each has a plug point and lights. The ablution block, close by, has hot showers, toilets and basins.
The 2 private luxury Max Tents are situated away from the others, with a view of the cliff and valley, each tent offers a king-size bed and a sleeper couch, an en-suite bathroom with a shower, and a kitchen with a kettle, stove, microwave, fridge. Each tent has a viewing deck and private braai area.
The farm house can sleep up to 12 persons. The farm house consists of 3 bedrooms and 2 outside double rooms. There are 3 bathrooms, 2 in the house and 1 outside. There is an open plan kitchen, dining and living room. The kitchen is fully equipped. There is also an outside braai area.
There is a large swimming pool behind the chalets, and a well-kept lawn with several full grown shady trees. There are several fire pits and a public braai facility. This venue is ideal for camping and relaxing.
Tranquilitas Adventure Farm is easily accessible from the major routes into Mpumalanga and most supplies can be bought at the local stores in Waterval Boven.
Accommodation Options
Family Chalet
Each rustic chalet sleeps 4 guests and has a bedroom with a queen bed, and 2 single beds in the dual purpose lounge area. The private bathroom contains a shower. The open-plan kitchen is fitted with a microwave, mini-stove and fridge and opens to a patio.
Perma Tents
Each tent has 2 single beds or a double bed with bedding, and a kitchenette with stove, kettle, pots and pan. Basic camping cutlery and crockery are supplied. The tents have a braai area. The tents have use of a communal ablution block with hot showers.
Max Tents
These large luxury tents are set on a cliff top with views. Each tent has a king-size bed, a sleeper couch that converts to 2 single beds, and en-suite with a shower. Each tent has a kitchenette with a kettle, stove and fridge, viewing deck and braai.
Farm House
This house sleeps 12, and has 3 inside rooms with queen or twin single beds, and 2 outside rooms double beds. There are 3 bathrooms, 2 inside and 1 outside. There is an open-plan fully equipped kitchen, dining area, and a lounge with 2 single sofa beds.
