About Mitat Penthouse
Many moons ago, in the then sleepy town of Mossel Bay (situated at the door to the Garden Route) was a very successful backpackers called Barnicles. It’s first owners saw the potential of the stunning property and fell in love with the exquisite views.
Barnicles was sold for a tidy profit and the owners boarded a sailboat and, quite literaly, sailed off into the sunset.
Since then the backpackers changed hands a few times but unfortunately could not ride out the ression wave that hit Mossel Bay.
Finally, in 2013, the building was rescued by business owners from Oudtshoorn and lovingly revamped into modern, state of the art, offices. Not wanting to waste such a beautiful setting on just office space, they decided to turn the third floor into a luxury penthouse.
And so Mitat was born.
