About Eight Bells Mountain Inn
Eight Bells Mountain Inn is a 4-star owner run family resort hotel set in the mountains at the Foot of the Robinson Pass, in Ruiterbos, which is between Mossel Bay (35km) and Oudtshoorn (50km). We offer 25 well appointed rooms set in beautiful gardens on a 160 hectare estate with a range of outdoor activities like swimming, tennis, squash, bowls, walking trails and horse riding. A wing of north-facing bedrooms with a large verandah overlooking a quaint garden setting but without a mountain view. Decorated in various fresh colourful schemes.
Shower over bath except Room 15 which has large separate shower & is wheelchair-friendly.
Double/Twin Rooms - Palm Court
Part of a courtyard-styled thatched wing of rooms with mountain views and a pretty garden. These rooms have either King/Queen or twin beds and an enclosed sun patio. Bathroom with either shower over bath or bath and separate shower.
Double/Twin Rooms - Swiss Village Cabins
Alpine timber log cabins with the best mountain views and privacy, decorated in a subtle "Out of Africa" scheme. Each cabin has its own sundeck, under-carpet heating, an air-conditioner, Queen/twin beds and shower. Ideal for honeymooners.
Family Unit - Palm Court
This room has mountain views and is part of a courtyard-styled thatched wing. It has an enclosed sun patio and outside verandah.This unit offers a Queen size bed plus another room with two single beds. Bathroom with shower over bath.
Family Unit - Rose Court (Double/Twin)
Part of a wing of north-facing rooms situated in a quaint garden setting. Main bedroom is decorated in fresh colours with Queen/twin beds plus interleading room with two single beds set apart. Bathroom with separate shower and bath.
Double/Twin Rondavels
Thatched rondavels set either in the quaint garden of the Rose Court wing or in the Pool Terrace area. These units have Queen/twin beds and bathroom with shower over bath.

Family Unit - Pool Terrace (Triple)
A thatched rondavel with double/twin beds plus a separate room with single bed, overlooking the bell-shaped swimming pool with views towards the surrounding hills, mountains and garden. Bath with separate shower.

A thatched wing of rooms overlooking the bell-shaped swimming pool with views towards the surrounding hills, mountains and garden. These units offer Queen/twin beds plus interleading room with 1 single bed and a bunk bed. Bath with shower over bath.
Family Unit - Swiss Village
A north-facing timber log cabin, consisting of a main bedroom with queen-size bed, a second room with two single beds, a lounge and bathroom with separate shower. Also offers air-conditioning, under-carpet heating and a large sundeck with great views.
