Leshiba is a unique, eco-friendly game and nature reserve spectacularly positioned atop the mystical Soutpansberg mountains in the Limpopo province, just 36km west of Louis Trichardt. A variety of guided and unguided activities are available, including 12 marked walking trails which weave through some of the country’s most unique environments with a high biodiversity of flora and fauna. Here you can walk amongst wildlife, including giraffe, antelope, leopard, porcupines and zebra. Trek along spectacular trails through forests and across plains. Hike down breathtaking gorges to sparkling natural pools. Visit ancient rock art sites and enjoy sundowner game drives, guided walks, horse riding, stargazing and more. The Venda Village Lodge is an authentic traditional village re-created together with internationally renowned Venda artists, Noria Mabasa and Thomas Kubayi. Apart from five rondavels, there are two romantic private suites, each with a plunge pool and patio overlooking the wildlife grazing on the plain below. Hamasha Bush Camp offers rustic self-catering accommodation in a remote setting with spectacular views through the Hamasha gorge (4x4 required). Luvhondo Camp is Leshiba’s group accommodation venue. It is situated close to the cliffs with endless views and is ideal for workshops eg. yoga, photography, retreats; small conferences and interest groups eg. hiking, birding, dendrological. Leshiba offers unrivalled scenery, unspoilt nature, a variety of wildlife and a high number of endemic species.
