About King's Grant Country Retreat
Experience the charm and ambience of King's Grant, the historic mission station built by German Trappist Monks in 1900 in the Ixopo district and now tastefully restored and refurbished as an enchanting three star graded country retreat.
Nestled in the heart of the St Isidor valley and surrounded by the lush farmlands and bird-inhabited waters of the St Isidor valley, King's Grant extends a warm welcome to guests and offers them the opportunity to relax and unwind in the unique atmosphere of peace and tranquillity. The living quarters of the Dutch monks and German nuns have been converted and tastefully furnished to create 13 comfortable guestrooms all of which have en-suite bathrooms, tea trays with homemade biscuits, DSTV bouquet, fans, heaters, electric blankets and private garden facing patios. Three of the guestrooms also have self-catering facilities. Free Wi-Fi hotspots are available for our business guests.
