About Far Away Place

In the HEART of the KWAZULU NATAL MIDLANDS MEANDER. - A “Far Away Place” is a magical, gay-owned getaway featuring 3 cottages with views to a beautiful dam, mountains & forests. Choose from our latest 2-sleeper TREEHOUSE, 5-sleeper DASHY COTTAGE or 6-sleeper NGUNI COTTAGE - all decorated & fitted to a very high standard. We are 5km on the old Curry's Post Road from Terbodore Coffee & a short 12km drive into Nottingham Road. We love our dogs (all 6 of them - 5 Dachshunds (Smooch, Chino, Toffee, Peanut & Jellybean) & Lady. If dogs are not for you, then our cottages are not recommended.

Chill, Breathe, Meditate, Hike, Fish, Braai, Swim Or Just MEANDER! But do it in comfort at a Far Away Place. Strictly no parties!

The cottage can accommodate up to 5 guests and comprises 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, and an open-plan kitchen and living area. The main bedroom contains a queen-size bed while the second loft-style bedroom contains a double- and a single bed.
3 Bed (Nguni Cottage)
Nguni Cotttage is a new 3 bedroom cottage with a loft landing area that has 2 single beds. Both bedrooms have premium Queen beds with Egyptian cotton linen.
1 Bed (Luxury TreeHouse)
Once upon a time at A Far Away Place ... Two young men dreamed of revisiting their childhood by building a TreeHouse - but to a standard that will blow you away. A luxury 2 sleeper unit with a view to mountains & forests.
